stator wiring questions?

I am replaceing my stator assembly, on the skis harness I have a Black, Black/red,yellow, and yellow/black. on my new one I have 2 yellows, and the other 2 wires are the same as on the machine. My question is, does it matter where the 2 yellow wires go?

Nope... feed the 2 yellow wires AC, and you will get DC on the red and black wires.

so it doesnt matter even though the harness from the skis, yellow wires have different markings, and the new stator is solid yellow.
