Ok, I just got back my engine from being rebuilt. I'm assembling the stator and the plastic oil pump shaft does not seem to slid into the crank shaft as I recall. the end of the crank is almost closed? Could they have installed the wrong crank at the shop??? Is that even possible? I have tried to add some photo's but its hard to see.

Anyones thoughts are appreciated.

the pic is a little blurry, but it looks like there is an old shaft busted off in the end of the crank.

Your right, that picture really bites. I will look at it more closely tomorrow, maybe post some better pictures. Thanks for the reply, I'll post what I find.

Not the case... I have attached additional pictures that may show my issue a little better. I just did not know that they could install the wrong crank and that does seem to be the case here. Can anyone shed additional light? I'd really appreciate it. Wondering what options I may have other then sending the engine back?

Chester to the rescue :hurray:

There you have it.

Thanks for the better pics... I can now see it's not an old shaft.

Awesome! thanks guys! I was so afraid I would have to ship my engine back! Took 5 months and a lot of calling to get it this far, didn't want to have to do THAT again!!!

You guys are life savers!

East Coast Cycle. They were nice when I would call them, and from what I heard they ran into issues rebuilding my engine. But still have some issues to resolve, The gasket installation kit they sent had 3 ripped gaskets and one bent, the oil pump issue I am having now (thus the above string), and I paid for 3 new motor mounts that never came. I am confident they will make it right, but if your looking for a quick turn, this may not be the route to take.
