Starter Ring Profile 787 Rotax

I just pulled my starter and the flywheel starter ring cogs cought my eye. To me it looks like a large notch taken out of the teeth. Is this how they are supposed to look (3/4 of a full tooth length, or did something happen)? It has been operating fine.

I believe they are worn down. Do you have trouble starting the motor?

Starter teeth look perfect and it was operating fine. But... from those images and links looks like my flywheel is a gonner.
