starter rebuild kit PN

looking to rebuild my OE starter using one of those cheap kits from online.

Problem is I'm finding two that say they're for a GSX but in the application guides none of them actually say they're for a 97 GSX.

The two part numbers from the pictures are SND9122 and SND9123. One is more expensive than the other.

Can anyone tell me what I'm supposed to be using?

This is the one I have used on ebay "Starter Rebuild Kit For Sea-Doo SPX 720 1996 / SPX 800 1997 / XP 720 1995"

Others have had the brushes not work. Given that I have started buying the OEM brushes, for a little more money I know I will not have to do it twice.

Do you usually just replace the brushes? Because that kit with shipping is like $80 CAD... I imagine i could get the OE brushes for around that.

All the ones I have done it is only the brushes that are bad.

That's wierd. Looking at a local dealers micro fiche i get
278001110 BRUSH HOLDER - $34.99

278001112 BRUSH STARTER KIT - $11.99

But OSD lists the part numbers you specify. Any idea what the reason for that would be?

Sorry , the first numbers were for a 1996 GSX.

Here it is for the 1997 but they shouldn't be any different.

These numbers are directly from seadoo's online parts list for a 1997 GSX.

Your numbers are the old discontinued numbers, mine are what they supercede to.
