starter motor pinion for 787

Hi,

Can you interchange a 8 tooth starter pinion for a 9 tooth in a 96 GTX 787, or is there different crown wheels. How do i tell which one i should be running?

Yes you can but you should stay with the 8 tooth, more torque.

Totally agree. Stick with the 8-tooth, and if you ever have to replace the starter on a 787 make sure the new one is an 8-tooth.
