Starter issues.... anyone had the same?

I have a 96 SPX (720) with limited mods. Here lately, I have had trouble with the starter after the engine warms up. After it reaches operatiing temperature, the starter motor has a hard time making its way all the way over, and will sometimes finally kick over with several tries. Has anyone else had this problem? I have already changed starters (with another Denso one, and not a garbage aftermarket one) and the problem still exists. I have also changed out the solenoid and fully charged the battery. Any help would be great. Thanks.

replace the cable and ground/ inspect them both? and/or, install primer kit, instead of choke?
