Start up problems - it's your battery that test good, but isn't.

I have a 2004 RXP, new to me 2012. In it was a brand new interstate battery - vented lead acid. After a great week on lake Powell, I took it to lake nacimento. I had refilled the battery and recharged before leaving. One start on the lake. No restart after that. Took out the battery and recharged it overnight. Took to the marina in the morning and had them test it(Stress). It showed good(300amps). Then back in and one start only again. .?? Solution :: You must stress test the battery before or 9 hours after charging. Testing the battery after removal showed under 12volts and 200 amps.

Replace with an AGM battery. SEALED. New one should give you 600amp starting power (your starter will only use what it can handle). No venting for air to get on the plates while the seadoo is bouncing around. Which is the killer of batteries. :hat:

Please leave thumbs up if this helps or you like this.

Also, low voltage can hurt the starter motor. The relay won't be able to operate correctly and will fail testing with low voltage-bad batteries. So do lots of tests on the battery.
