Just bought a used pair of 94 SP's. One runs fantastic, the other has a chirping sound when it idles and will stall out if given too much throttle or when landing after catching a little air. We have cleaned the fuel filter, and noticed that, what looks like a fuel pump (not a mecanic here) is not full as its' twin. Anyone have a suggestion? It starts right up after stalling, however, there was a time where it sounded like the starter was trying but wuld not fire-that only happened once.

Looking for some helpful ideas-thanks in advance!

You may have gummed up carb, fuel filter or fuel lines. In a craft that old, it really isn't uncommon. Also, you should change over to premixed oil at this point as well.

Check the fuel filter first.

Got a manual?

We have manuals on our website here if your a premium member. The reason I say that is because it seems like you may be in need of a carb rebuild. It's possible as already stated by JoeZ, that you may have a gummed up carb. With a doo that old, my first question would be do you know how long it's been since the last carb rebuild and has the doo been winterized with fuel stabilizer in the past? Little more info needed to give you a better answer, or if you do join, you'll be able to find these answers yourself with our online tools...............plus, were always here to help!
