It appears that some screw fairy (no offense to the gays) has invaded my garage and keeps taking off with my bolts almost every time I lay them on the work bench.
Whatever, or whoever, I have a question.
I've noticed that many of the bolts that screw into the engine have a 1/4" shoulder below the flange.
My local dealer has not had any in stock, so I've been travelling from town to town picking up replacements.
Today, as I was about to attach the exhaust manifold (EM) to the engine, as I looked at my other Doo to see where everyting goes, I noticed the bolt to that EM was missing.
Fortunately, the bolt fairy did not snatch that bolt, however, I noticed that like other bolts, that one also has a shoulder, though there is no flange.
My question fro the day is can I safely use any SS bolt that would fit on not fret about it not having a shoulder?
