Sportster LE Transducer Transom Mount?

I'm a newer owner of 2004 Sportster LE DI and wanted to install a fish/depth finder. I do not want to glue the transducer to the inside of the hull because I would loose the temperature feature of the depthfinder. The transom of this boat has very little flat areas to work with when it comes to mounting anything. Has anyone done this or has an idea that I may be overlooking? THANKS!

I mounted mine next to the spedo sensor on the transom on my 08 200 speedster.

My boat, 14.5 foot Sportster, has a different transom than the 20 footer you have. There is not enough flat area near the bottom of the boat to mount the transducer. Any other ideas???

You don't have to install it near the bottom of the transom. The instructions should show you different suggestions of install. Most all the good ones have a off set for the height adjustment of not at the exact bottom of the hull.
