does any one know if you can put a jet ski splash gaurd on a 06 challenger? im trying to find something for the front of my boat to keep the water down! when ever we go out wakeboarding and someone wipes out, when i wip the boat around and shoot back in my own wake right when i get to the person i seem to have a little troubble keeping the water out of the front of the boat! i dont know if there is anything out there for this or not! it just seems like it would be nice to have something on the front to deflect some of that water! Well thanks for your help who ever decides to reply! lol....

i know...

i know that, but my problem is, is that when i get to the person that in the water i have to slow down to pick them up! so right when i get to them i have to stop and it seem the wake that follows me hits me pretty hard! and i dont want to leave them in the water too long because we do have a lot of gators! lol.... so time is of the essence! lol.... but thanks man! im hoping that some one will be able to post a link for a product that will fix my problems!

Downward slope....

I noticed, looking at the design of your boat in your profile page, it seems there is a downward drop in the bow. Makes you wonder why they made such a design.

I've seen on boats, like pontoons, a small set of wings that create like a semi-curve that when you slow down, the water rides up the bow, hits these deflectors and keeps the water from entering the boat.

I do not see you doing this because it would not be astheticly pleasing to look at.

The only other thing I can think of would be displacement of weight. If you load your people and weight toward the rear, do you think this would help.

On another thought, if you sped back to the "rider down" and just as you get to the point your going to pass him/her, make a hard turn and get off the throttle so the side of the boat takes the push of the water.

Bottom line though, look at the design of the forward hull,.....it's obvious that it has a downward slope................:(

yup

ohh your absolutely right! it does slope down and it drive me crazy! when were out i only have about 3 people with me and the other person i usually in the back minding the rope! but it seems to me that after i stop and turn around with in 20 to 30 seconds the waves catch up to me and they splash pretty good, but after 10 to 15 times of this the boat is filling up with water and the carpet gets soaked! so im just looking to see if the ones that they have for the jet skis would work.... i guess it just an idea!

Idea....

I know they make trim tabs for these boats.

I have a VTS on my Challenger and it works great in these conditions. I have the smaller 14 foot model.

But, if you could get a set of trim tabs, it might make a difference.

I think the cheapest way out might be a pump wedge from RIVA. The wedge will act as a trim tab, possibly holding your nose up better at slower speeds.....it's worth looking into..........

cool!

that kinda sounds like a good idea! what is a VTS? and are you talking about the trim tabs that are on the sides of the skis?
