Speedster 200 - 4 beeps why

Ok I just purchased a 2006 speedster 200. When I put the lanyard on I get two beeps and can start the boat up. When I turn the boat off and leave the lanyard on i will get 4 beeps. Beeps stop and then go off again with 4 beeps. It will keep doing that, is this normal

Something else, Saturday when I was out on the boat it never made the 4 beeps. Since then I have installed a GPS speeds system (Candoo) and also a new radio. Not sure if that effects this at all. Plus my wife did leave the old radio on for a day after the boat came out of the water. Could my battery be low and causing the 4 beeps from leaving the radio on for 24 hours?

I found this. does this sound correct?

4 Short Beeps at different interval for 4 hours

DESS key has been left on its post without starting

engine or after engine was stopped.

To prevent battery discharge, remove the DESS key from

its post
