Hey guys,

I'm new here. I'm currently looking at a decent used seadoo speedster 160. It will be used for many things, not specific to only one type of use. With regard to wakeboarding, will it work alright? I understand that it has more than enough power with the 240 merc jet, but will it plane okay by 20 mph? Im not looking at this to be an amazing wakeboard boat, it just needs to do the job alright. I currently have seadoo watercraft that i ride behind, and have ridden behind I/Os but never a seadoo boat. What do you all think? I have done a few searches and came up with nothing as of yet, so take it easy on me if this has been posted before. thanks in advance!

Also, are there any significant changes from a 2001 speedster to the 2004 speedster 160? Does it make sense to look for an 04 over any other year? Is there anything specifically to lookout for when looking at the boat in person?
