Well I just purchased two 2009 RXT's that my friend bought new in 2010. One has 25 hr and the other has 32. He kept them in his garage when not in use. Said he did oil changes at the beginning of every season. My question is should I pull the super chargers and send them in for a rebuild or do these have the upgraded parts that should last till 100 hrs. Thanks Steve
Also the ski with 25 hrs. Flashes maint after I put the key on. I assume it's battery related?

If those are 215's...they're past due for a rebuild....even with '08+ sc's....100hr's or 2-3yrs...which ever comes first.

As for the light...fire it up...push set 5 times and see what code shows up.

The 09 Skis had an update kit which you likely do have. Some of the early 09 built skis have 08 parts. If you do have the early builds, rebuild the SC instantly if not sooner.

Unless you upgrade to the newest upgrades, you are to rebuild yours every two-years or 100 hours.

Though you are under the 100 hours, the years are an issue. The bearings and the cages that carry the bearings get brittle and can break.

Thanks that's helpful. Is there a build date some where? Also do most people send there chargers into the rebuild service on this site? Thanks guys I'll get this stuff figured out.

I just wanted to mention.... I feel it's better to change oil at the end of season during winterizing the ski before putting it up for storage. The reason is gasoline has sulfur + other goop in it and contaminates the engine oil by mixing with water in air to make a sulfuric soup acidifies the engine oil so it's best not to allow that acidic goop to condensate and attack/corrode the crankshaft bearing races, or pit the camshaft lobes as it sits and sweats over winter.

I THINK you can find the build date info on the ski, but on;t honestly know the correct answer. I'll do some digging on that.

And yes, send it in to this site. They are the most affordable that I am aware of and use NOTHING but Seadoo parts. Normally turn it around in one-day.

I make no money nor get paid from this site, I spend my time here as I truly enjoy it for myself and helping others. I personally do not think you could do better with anyone else in regards to getting your SC rebuilt.

I'll be pulling mine this year and sending it in, just a matter of getting to it..

Thanks guys! I'm really glad this site exists. So helpful for us rookies. I have a few days off starting Tuesday so I guess I'll be pulling the blowers then. Wish me luck:)

Everyone of us was a rookie,, I joined here just to learn. I can't begin to tell you what I have learned simply be logging in and reading.
