Should I upgrade with grates and impellers

Good Day All. First Thank you to all who reply. I was less then a novice 4 yrs ago, now because of these threads, i am trouble to thine self. All because of your knowledge generosity. Here's the rub... I ski on Lake Erie, which usually has some sort of roll or chop. Want to put solas intake grate and maybe upgrade to solas impellar, on 2004 gtx 4-tec (na). Seems like what i read, is that i might lose some top end, but gain hole shot? Agree? only getting up to about 52+mph now, and think the take-offs would be mor exciting then the few and far between wot days. Thoughts?
