I did a ton of ressearch on fixing my faded seats on my yellow Speedster SK. Ended up purchasing 6 cans of VHT SP964 (Yellow) off Amazon to dye my faded Speedster Seats. I am not sure that the yellow is an exact match but as long as I do all the seats and arms rests it really won't matter. I am going to prep them this week and then dye them on Saturday. I'll post up some pictures and a review of the VHT dye. Definitely a cheaper alternative to reupholstering your seats, especially if it's just faded seats that the vinyl is in great condition.

Didn't have much time this weekend but I dyed the armrest. Didn't get a chance to take pictures. The VHT Vinyl dye is interesting stuff. It does have a dye consistancy about it but actually goes on like a rubber paint. The first time I covered it I made the mistake of trying to pull a piece of lint that had gotten in the wet spray before it dried. It pulled off the whole center section, looks like a plastic coating before it fully dries. Sanded it down a bit and then applied several coats, first 2 light and third heavy. Night and day difference with the VHT. Just like the company mentions, if the vinyl is worn, torn scratched it won't cover it up but it does bring back the showroom look. I was afraid of the color bleeding but after taking the boat out saturday but now I am convinced it doesn't bleed one bit. Prep is definitely key. A little hard work beforehand will ensure this stuff adheres to the vinyl. A definitely cheaper alternative to reupholstering your seats. I'll get some pictures up when start on the rest of the seats.

Just to follow up on this thread. I ended up test painting the armrest (since I knew it would get the most abuse). After only a few weekends out I am opting to have all the seats reupholstered instead. It cracked and wore off, especially on the curved sides. Not was I was hoping.
