Seafoam is usually used as a gasoline additive, but like Timmy said, it is more snake oil than a fix for anything.

Sea foam

i would recomment seafoam not for alge but as a cleaner to your carbs its primary use is to eliminate gum and varnish deposits on internal engine components, also removing carbon deposits, freeing sticky valve lifters and rings curing rough idle, pinging and hesitation problems. I mean you can find it at almost any major auto parts store.

yeah....carb cleaner, while tearing them apart.
