Hey guys, quick question about exhaust hose..

My XP last 2 times i took it out, i sank it. Reason being, the hose that run exhaust out of the hull kept coming off on the inside of ski, filling it with water completley.

So.....i unscrewed exhaust cap, and took plastic coupling and hose out of ski, and took couplin out of hose and about 3/4" in of plastic was melted to nothing.

I took the one out of my other xp and its fine.

Question is, could that be the problem as to why it kept coming off??

And is there such thing as TOO MUCH water going through exhaust and back pressure blowing it off??

Hope to hear some good advice, i wanna take it out this weekend hopefully worry free.. Thanks guyz!

Could you possibly figure an explanation for the coupling exhaust hose at exit of ski being melted on the side the hose connects to? I replaced it all ready, but i'm hoping just time itself just took a tole on it, and not just getting extremely hot.

I fould last night that the Rossier exhaust had a jet screwed into the side of exhaust pipe to control water flow, and it was clogged so i removed it all together to get more water through to cool exhaust.

Sound like a major issue? or should it be ok?

thanks again man.

you REALLY want to melt that thing. Need to re-install the jet/fitting, was made/put there for a reason. Your the one, that someone removed the W.R. on the muffler, right?
