So I finally getting the 96xp on the water this Saturday. I know if the worst happens and I break down, I will have to be pulled in.

Which line are we supposed to clamp off so not to hydrolock while being pulled. What type of clamp do you guys use?

It's the line from the pump to the motor, if you look closely at the water inlets on the head, it's the one with the small arrow pointing toward the front of the ski.

I assume the hot air gun trick would work as it makes most hard plastic in like new condition.

But I'd wait for someone else that has done it to chime in to confirm.

Try some back to black, made by Mothers. Also wipe new, I've never tried it by Nick swears by it.

Is it just a heat gun or using a compound as well?

Google HOT AIR RESTORE PLASTIC TRICK or something like that. I'm in a plane and the internet is a bit weak for some reason.

Sorry,,,

i'd go with the meguiars trick with a buffer, works great and is more consistent looking.

the heat gun tends to splotch up the hood with darker/lighter area's.. although it works GREAT on black bumper corner pieces.

i've also tried wipe new and it did work as advertised
