Hello. I have a question, if in 2005 rxp215 must be oil in chain case. Engine after full rebuild, i tank a 4.5L engine oil ,but oil level shows the engine is empty of oil, then i put out a valve cover and i noticed a oil in time chain case about 0.5L~ engine oil... Meybe someone knows? It's normal? Because engine working normal, I don't understand why oil level is 0 when i tanked 4.5L , and if normal a time chain down is swimming in oil??...

Yes, the timing chain is part of the engine oil cavity so it is in engine oil pretty much like all 4 strokes.

You should see oil on the dipstick, total engine oil is around 5 quarts when filling after completely empty after rebuild.

Yes but I'm this time, i tankes 6liters of oil, and only now the level is normal.... U can turn on engine when valve cover is puted out?

Until the engine runs for the first time and then comes to rest, the oil level will not balance out between all it's passages and locations so the dipstick isn't even worth checking. It should never have 6 liters of oil. You should put 4.8 quarts in and it will be very close to the proper level.

Not sure why you want to run the engine with the valve cover off?

I know 6 quarts is too much. When you change the oil, it is normal to get about 3 quarts out only so there is always about 2 quarts left behind. The only time to add 5 quarts is when you rebuild the engine.

Still not clear what you mean by oil in time chain? The timing chain is in the oil cavity; it doesn't have a separate cavity for it.
