For sure! :agree:

Will update sunday evening when i am back on how the skis run, hopefully the news will be good,

Till then, keep the beers cold and coming! :cheers:

Ok, so we back from the weekend.

Took the 2 skis out and they started first time all the time, motors ran like hell, quite powerfull for a newbie like me.

The one ski smokes a bit more than the other one, is that ok? Or is there something that needs to be checked or something?

Then i came off the ski and for the love of it, could not get back on, after numerous tries the wife towed me back to shore.:redface:

Any tips on getting back on a damn ski in the middle of the dam?

And any reason for concern on the smoke?

Sorry dude, at work ...missed post

No comments / feedback? :confused::confused:

Sorry man, was at work and just missed your reply. I"m glad you bumped it up again because I caught it the second time around.

The smoke could be due to it sitting a while without being run. It could also be due to the rings letting oil by and then, burning it off.

The compression tests on the motors are paramount. Your location is going to make it hard to find any really good support, especially for parts. If you have one shop, then they know they have you where they want you because there is no competition.

You have to mount the skis from the back. You cannot get on from the sides. This take practice.

I know how bad you want them, I just hope you don't allow your emotions over rule your logical reasoning as to the worth.....:cheers:

Thanks for the reply.

How do i determine if the smoking is due to the motor standing for long or due to compression?

As i mentioned, they are quite powerful and accelerate well, so would this not be a indication of the rings being ok in terms of the compression or am i missing something?

What would my options be to determine the cause of the smoking? It is not much as in bulging smoke, almost like a normal pre mixed two stroke motor that has a bit to much oil in the mix.
