hello i got this problem p0122 tps out of range short to ground on my rxp 255 2008 today i was whit a dealer and he reset it and we hobe its was okay. I take it to the water and the problem comes again did i need to change the trottle sensor? or is it a other problem? Thanks Anders Denmark

Chances are, it's the sensor; perform these steps:

1. Look for obvious defects in the TPS sensor circuit wiring, cuts or breaks in the wiring
2. Look for a damaged connector or corrosion on the contacts.
3. Perform resistance and continuity checks of the TPS circuit
4. Ohm out the sensor, or check the TPS with a Candoo.
5. Fix whatever defect you find.

If you don't know how to perfrom the continuity check, you have the option of changing the sensor and clearing the code, but that may not fix your problem if the wiring or the ECU is defective. Another option is to have an electrician check the wiring; do you have the schematic?
