seadoo kill switch

Hi, im new to water sports so forgive my ignorance please. I went out with a mate on a 1999 seadoo gtx ltd this evening and hit a rogue wave. Knocked my clean off and took the kill switch with me. The clip at the end of the wire broke I think and is floating around somewhere. Can anyone please tell me if a new key needs pairing to the control unit or will any replacement key fit provided its for a seadoo gtx??? Any help much appreciated!!

it should be a DESS model.. the new key needs to be paired by a dealer.. or if you have a candoo system you can do it your self
