Hello,

first, sorry for my bad english, i am from Germany :)

I bought last year a Seadoo HX from 1996, after them I bought a used Factory pipe for them.
Now I have problems to mount the pipe into my HX.

I have from the Internet a list with parts I need. please look into this link ->

http://www.factorypipe.com/media/instructions/seadoo/720HX01.pdf

but I missing some parts :(

- Restictor #31
- T-piece #16
- red silicone ring #17
- filter solenoid #15

Where can I buy this parts or is it possible to mount other parts?

Can I mount a T-piece instead the filter (#15) from the solenoid valve?
Which diameter has the restrictor?
Which diameter has the O-ring and how thick is it?

An other problem is, I need a cable plan to mount the rev limiter, maybe one of you have a plan?

Thank you very much,
Best regards,
Sebastian

if I can be blunt, unless you want to get into changing jets, carbs, fuel systems, impellers, and more... and if you already have a running ski, that works well... leave it alone.

Save your money, and enjoy it the way it is. No one wants to spend all summer working on their engine when they could be riding.

Breaking down on the water is a hassle. You don't want that. any time you modify one of these (especially something now 18 years old), you are going to reduce the reliability...

I just don't see it as worth it...

I'd rather have a ski that works all summer than one that's 4 MPH faster, and sits on a trailer...

But it's your ski, and we can help track down parts or let you know how to fix stuff... I've just personally been bitten by mods that don't make financial sense, and at the end of the day, don't add enough to be worth it...

I couldn't agree more, especially for a recreational rider stock if always best. As I have said in the past if you want a faster ski, buy a faster ski.

Factory pipe is still in business and they can answer those questions and sell the necessary replacement parts. I would contact them directly.

Hey Guys,

I know what you mean. But I think you can´t buy a newer/other ski who is comparable with an Seadoo HX.
Now I have bought the Factory pipe and I would like to mount it into my ski. (The pipe is in Germany very expensiv (550 Dollar))

I have sent a Mail to Factory pipe, but maybe you have a other, faster solution for me.

I think I dont need the filter assy from the solenoid valve, maybe I can use only a T-piece or I dismount complete the solenoid valve?

Regards,
Sebastian

The solenoid valve really makes that pipe work. You can use a regular T and do not have to buy the expensive billet strainer. Just take the solenoid apart and clean it periodically.

Hello Matt,

thank you! do you know which diameter the restrictor have? there I can use a normal plastic or metall tube or not?

Best regards,
Sebastian

The cooling hose has a t in it 1/2"X1/4"X1/2". Probably not how it is described in Germany, I know the larger size is a 12mm hose.

You mean the T between "Final exit", "chamber body" and "Pump outlet"?

The Restrictor is to reduce the diameter between "Final exit" and "pump outlet" I need the correct diameter (inside) from the restrictor.
