Seadoo GTI LE RFI 2004 engine locks with spark plugs fitted

Hi, hoping someone can give me some guidance here, switched off Ski at sea at weekend for a breather was running absolutely fine, would not restart, will turn over fine with plugs removed but as if seized with plugs fitted have removed starter motor and had tested, this is ok as is battery, have removed rear cover and turned engine by hand with plugs out, again seems fine, is it likely to be the rotary valve has failed causing extra high compression, any advice very gratefully received.

check compression
wont crank with 1 or both plugs? sounds like a battery or starter issue. Load test the battery

Sorted now, was the starter motor even though I had removed it and sent for testing, came back with clean bill of health, after much head scratching, bought new starter and heh presto it starts!
