Mik hit it on the head. He also hit it a number of posts back as well, never take someone's word for work done. When was the invoice for they fuel system work? If that was a year ago and the ski sat for that long you can't trust it. Time for a rebuild unfortunately.

so I'm guessing the damaged rave valve cant be salvaged?? the cylinders don't look that bad, to be honest, I haven't measured them but there is no noticeable damage I'm hoping I can just go one size up on the pistons....

so the invoice was September 2015 the work was done by the Seadoo dealer here in sydney going off the invoice it had 2 genuine Mikuni kits put in,new fuel lines and fuel filter and check valve was replaced. Compression test carried out which was back then 145 psi on both cylinders.

Anyways I've just ordered a reman crank from Seadoo so im definitely committed to this project now.... As for the top end and the damaged rave valve is it best to replace both of them...??

Yes I will be going through the carbs as well. In regards to the RV shaft, I have pulled it today and inspected it all looks okay the wear on the brass gear looks even all the way around here is a few pics of it... In regards to maintenance, the bearings feel good and it all looks okay however while I have it apart is it worth putting on new seals and bearings ??IMAG1155.jpgIMAG1154.jpg

Looks good. I've replace many of the bearings and they've all been perfect when I pulled them. Probably not worth it.

IF you don't replace the bearings at least replace the seal and o-ring.
I would completely rebuild the balancer shaft.
