Seadoo engine alignment tool

Hey guys,

New to the forum. I checked with CoastieJoe about renting his seadoo engine alignment tool but he has it out already. Anyone near the Stuart, FL area have one they would be willing to rent to a fellow PWC'er?

That would be awesome if your buddy still has one. Lauderdale isn't that far and would be worth the trip to drive down to pick it up.

I will look around online for places in Clearwater that may have them too.

sorry, he replied, sold it last week.

sbt in clearwater rent's them if your in a hurry, if not poke around your local CL and try to spot a flipper guy maybe you can just bring it in, align it, pay & leave.

What do typical shops charge for engine alignments?

If it cost more than the tool, I'll just do it myself. I'm just curious what I should expect.

From what I've been reading on the forum, its not uncommon for shops to NOT even perform alignments. Not sure what it would cost but no matter what, I wouldn't bring any of my skis into a shop for service anyplace around where I live.

To much risk if ANY part such as a motor mount or new block or pump housing was installed. I know people that have not aligned, it just isn't something I would do.

Is the alignment described in the service manual?
At some point this is something i will need to do.
