Seadoo di fuel pressure guage adapter set

I made a gauge using brass fittings & a 175 psi pressure gauge. I hooked mine up right at the pump, but if you could purchase the male & female quick connect fittings from Tonka that would be ideal for testing purposes. The pump in my DI failed pressure tests when running. I thought for sure the pump was shot reading about their known failures. I pulled mine apart & found the internal fuel filters where all plugged up with tank debris. I Bought replacement filters from a local auto parts dealer (thanks to kicker for the tip & part numbers)

Word of warning, a good pump can make waaaaay over 150 PSI. I initially tested my pump with the gauge dead headed. the pressure goes up fast & very high. In normal operation the regulator will prevent it from going over 107+/-, but a healthy pump can produce so much more in a faction of a second. I was watching the gauge when I powered it up dead headed & it nearly buried the needle. I pulled power as soon as I saw it climb that high. seriously, just over 1 second running. Those pumps are crazy strong.

your pump should be around 27 psi with the lanyard installed, then 107 when running. Mine would meet those requirements, but when I would raise the RPMs, the pressure would drop below 100psi. Now, it will sit and idle at 107 & if I blip the throttle the pressure will rise a few lbs rather than drop.

hey thanks for the great info, im using a high flow pump, new filters and all, put new pumps on both my skis, that's where I am now, even a quality pump like high flow can go bad, if its made by a man it can fail, working as an auto mechanic for many years, I have changed more than my share of brand new pumps out that failed in only a day or two, lmao I think the fuel pressure tester set up is the only tool I havnt bought yet, but I wouldn't trade my candoo scanner for anything man this thing has paid for itself again and again. I highly recommend it, yeah I sent Tonka a message about the fuel lines, I might as qell go ahead and put one together, lol again many thanks nice Goat by the way,
