Seadoo 787 hx swap

Hi, I have a 787 swap HX. During turns rpms drop around 5800 and it takes a little while before it takes off back to max rpm. Carbs are perfect, also swaped out another set from a running ski. Raves look perfect. For the water regulator I drilled a fitting into the waterbox, could this be the source of my issue? Prop is from a stock 96 xp

Yes, I added on the water regulator.

Sounds like either too much backpressure from the small waterbox and/or too much water being injected.
