I have a Seadoo 2000 Bombardier Milennium and this is the first year I've had this problem. Brand new battery. When I plug in the key and push start, I just get a long beep and the dash flashes 12:00. After consulting the manual, it points me to the MPEM and the dealer. From what I can tell, this gets pricey very quickly.
A cousin and I ran jumper cables from his Seadoo's battery to a screw head under the MPEM compartment (not to my battery)... he knew what he was doing and it started. When the positive cable touched the head, it would crank as if I were hitting the start button. The rest of the afternoon, my seadoo would start consistently by pushing the button after it was turned off. The next weekend, back to the long beeps.
Before I take to a shop I'd like some suggestions. Plan B is to buy some beer and have my cousin over.
Any help would be apprecaited!
