Sea doo wont start ! ahhhhhh i want to jump wake real bad!

ok so I have not started my sea doo at all this year it has been sitting since last fall. its an 89 sl or sp not sure ither way i had charged the battery so that today i could start her up and nothing got voltage every where but it wont crank up or even attempt too when u push the start button u hear a little pop from the solenoid but thats it i had a bright idea to hook the car up to it knowing its 6 more volts then its ment for but it started to crank when i jumped the sea doo but sounded like it still needed more voltage ! wtf is going on help asap!

6V more?? Both systems are 12v. What kind of battery did you put in it?

to tell you the truth i had the exact same problem when my 89 sat for a long time it turns out that all i had to do was take out the plugs and turn it over for quite a while and loosen everything up then i didnt have any problems. Those 89 s are wiered and very tempermental for sucha simple engine.

its a water sports/motorcycle battery i belive its 4-6v reads like 5.48 v it worked great last year i payed 75 for it from autozone.

should be 12v. most are 12v systems.

If it's only showing 5.48 volts... the battery is bad. That ski is a 12v system. (Along with every other consumer vehicle built since the late 50's)

also from what ive read on posts youshould never never jump from a car while its running. can really mess things up once it starts. but jumping from a car battery is ok. if it is disconnected from car. anyone is welcome to slap me if im wrong.

Ill slap you anyway hahalol but you should not jump the battery at all while it is installed CANT YOU READ JK lol its not good for the electronics. Your problem is you need a 12v battery not that little AAA battery that little piece of crap wont even jump my rc car.
