Hi Im new to the forum as I have only had my seadoo sportster 2 months now. The Boat has been flawless up until 2 days ago. I left the boat on the water for 2 nights and and one of the nights it unfortunately rained a monsoon. The engine was completely submerged and the water was almost to the seats. Well I pumped it all out and when i first started trying to start it it sounded like the battery was real weak. I kept trying and it kept sounding better and better for about 30 min. I stopped in 5 min intervals to let the battery charge up. It then sounded like the battery was dying off after 20 seconds trying to start it. Today I am going to charge the battery and change the plugs. Any other ideas what it could be. Im hoping that it just got wet and thats all it is.

You need to make sure there is no water in the engine. Take the spark plugs out and turn it over a few times. If you see what come out, keep doing it until it stops. then throw in new plugs and see if it starts. Might also wanna open the electrical box and let it dry out. Lastly, if you get it running again, you need to make sure the auto feature of your bilge pump is working. The whole incident is preventable.
