:confused:I get water in the passenger compartment, but not in the engine compartment. If I plug the hole under the driver's seat no water gets in. I looked at the back of my boat aznd there is a scupper valve with the ball in it. Do these go bad too? Should I replace it with a different style scupper valve?

it happens man. There about 20 buks at West Marine, but think you'll get the same effect. Check yours to make sure nothing is stopping the ball from closing....leafs, weeds, stick..etc.

According to me you should change it. I used a home depot sump pump valve, kicks doesn't leak and it was super cheaper. I will be running duals this year. I leave my ski float in the water for long periods of time and it never once leaked.

You probably have a bad seal between the hull and scupper valve. I'd just buy a new one and use a good marine epoxy to install it. Make sure you follow the cure time on the epoxy to allow for good seal between the hull and scupper.
