I am new to the forum, but a long time seadoo owner and am currently evaluating upgrading my '06 GTX 155 Wake for a new model. I really like the suspension system models and was leaning toward the GTX Ltd but I am. It a big fan of the new "gray" color for ' 13 so now I've gravitated toward the RXT AS 260. I do like performance in my vehicles but I also do a lot of pulling my family behind the PWC. I found my old RXT 215 too over-tourqued to be a good "tow-PWC" but the '09 RXT 255 was better. Is the newer AS 260 easier to control thrust in touring mode? And should I just get ov my aversion to the gray and change back to the limited?

Appreciate any input. thanks!

Welcome to the board....neighbor. I don't agree that the 215 is "over torqued" especially when compared to the 255....heh. I haven't seen the new grey in person...although I think the color combo is bad azz. I'm also not fond of the iS suspension....but that is more a result of my particular riding style and the way the ski's center of gravity "feels higher" to me in all the slop on SML on a busy saturday.

...aside...

There will most likely be a PWC only poker run for charity on SML the third week of June...hope to see you there...if not sooner!

The poker run sounds like that could be a lot of fun...my observation on the torque of the RXT was referring to the first generation of the 215 compared to the 155. It was harder to control the thrust on the initial pull when getting a boarder up. I think the later generations seem to be better. I found the suspension so much smoother on those busy weekends, so that is a must for me. I don't mind the higher c.o.g. feel.

Thanks for the info on the poker run.

I'd stay away from the suspension models. I've heard stories at the dealer about lots of issues and warranty work with the suspension. Not to mention they are way heavy and really top heavy. Yes I have ridden the GTX ltd and hated it. If it didn't have the suspension it would be a nice ski.
