I have a 2004 seadoo rxp and the motor shut off on me the other day after running it open throttle and decelerating. The motor wouldn't start and seemed like a dead battery so I replaced the battery and had a similar problem. The Jet Ski now tried to start but wouldn't turn over. I pulled the spark plugs to find one either melted or smashed, I'd like to just replace the spark plug but am worried why it happened and if the cylinder needs to be vacuumed/flushed. The spark plug looks like it is just smashed/melted so I don't know if there is any residue in the cylinder. I then noticed that one of the drain plugs for the hull was loose and let some water in. Could this have shorted the electronics and caused the spark plug to melt because of the shorting?
