I have a 2005 RXP that we bought recently. After one use it would no longer stay running. The mechanic told us the supercharger had to be rebuilt. We had it rebuilt and used it once. It was great. The next time we used it it sucked up a small bungee cord that was floating in the water. I removed it and noticed the wear ring was super bad. We replaced the wear ring but it still seems like it’s running rough and not the same. It won’t get up to speed (it used to do about 68 and now only does 60), plus it seems extremely loud and rough.

Anyone have any advice for a new seadoo owner?

Thank you!

We had a similar problem and changed the ring but also the impeller was bent a little and had to repitch , ran fine afterwards. Check your prop closely

did the stator vanes get damaged? I just bought this sportster and kid said it ran fine- but first test run it had poor acceleration and low top speed- along with the impeller & wear ring, this is what the stator vanes looked like! couldn't see the damage from the back, had to remove the impeller.

Did replacing that fix your problems? It doesn't strike me as a big issue, but maybe so. I'll pull the impeller this weekend.

The fins on the Pump Support Assembly are damaged and one is broken off; this can't cause it though, can it?

Thanks!
