Hi, just purchased 2008 RXP with 53 hours on it. took it for a ride and seems to have a little cavitation when i whip it around and take off. Would a new grate cure this? which do you prefer. How about a new impeller? would this help and which one should I get. What do I have now? The machine Is stock and does 70 MPH @ 8000 RPM Thanks

I would look at the wear ring first the RPM's sound a little high to me. I have been on a few RXP's and have not had one hit 8000 RPM doing 70 MPH.

I have two 05 RXPs with less than 20 hrs each. At 70 mph they both do about 7K rpms. I too think the wear ring should be looked at. Those rpms are alittle to high.

Thanks Slug-O, I'm a little confused, the RIVA add for a stage 1 kit says that a stock RXP does 68mph @ 8100 rpm

Your correct... With the stage one kit it allows you more RPMs. Your stock and almost doing 8100... Check the wear ring, that's my bet for the cavatation and higher rpms.
