I recently bought this pwc, already done around 20 hours on it, 17 hours ago i have done a major revision and repaired the supercharger already with a 200 hours kit from SEADOO, i have done this job on an official Seadoo Dealer and the RXT as now 70 hours.
Last sunday, i put the ski on water, and my daughter take it for the first ride, 5 minutes later she come back to to shore and the Rxt was burning a lot of oil from exhausth, making a lot of white smoke behind, at first i didn't realized it was motor oil, and went for a ride on it:
When i started the engine the ski was kind of failling and didn't respond well enought, then i have pushed hard on the accelarator and it was like all the oil it was filling the admission all go away and the ski did get back to normal and reached normal top speed....
When i was coming to shore there was no smoke at all but the OIL message beeped and appeared on the gauge, i've stoped right away, checked the oil level and it was missing a lot of oil...
Take it to the dealer who, since the ski was now working fine, (after reffiling the missing oil, around 1.5 liters), he couldn't find any issue that could cause this... The supercharged air tubes had oil on it, for precaution he changed the supercharged oil seal, but we could't see any visible problem with the other one, we checked the piston tops, and valves with a special camera that goes in throw the spark plug holes and find out everything there works fine, the compression was also good...
Everything was mounted back again and the dealer told me to put the ski back on the water and see if it happens again.... But now i'm afraid to do it and damage something cause he couldn't give any certain about what caused this massive loss of oil just in 5 minutes...
The only thing we found that was strange is that on the top oil pressure valve (near the TOPS VALVE), the wire was not connected to the valve but to a screw on the engine block... But could not relate this issue with what happened...
By your experience what could cause this to happen?
Many thanks
