Hello To all,
I promised here are the pictures of my motor and the clean up of the washers. It does not let post a lot of pictures here so I will try to add some in more posts. If anyone wants to see more pictures please let me know & I will be happy to show here or through email just let me know how to put more on here if you can?

So My questions 1 are where/what website to get all the seals I will need to put this back together? That will be 1st set of pictures. IMG_8064.jpg IMG_8072.jpgIMG_8097.jpgIMG_8112.jpgIMG_8121.jpgIMG_8122.jpg

2 I found a piece that looks to be like a guard/guide of some kind for one of the gears that is permanently attached to the motor. I would like to know what this piece is called and how to repair it if you think it needs repairing please advise? This is the 2nd set of pictures....... IMG_8059.jpgIMG_8060.jpgIMG_8061.JPGIMG_8062.JPGIMG_8063.jpgIMG_8066.jpgIMG_8067.jpgIMG_8106.jpgIMG_8107.jpg

3 The oil pumps which I labeled 1 and 2 look pretty bad well one of them looks bad the other looks okay. So I would like to know if these pieces (in my pictures that are damaged) can be machined down or should they be replaced? If replaced then where/what website do you recommend that I these from? Also is there a way I can get just those damaged pieces or do I have to buy the whole pump please advise? This will be the 3rd set of pictures.....

4 Many of you on here have stated 2 things to (recommended to be replaced) 1 was the valves and the 2nd was the flywheel bolts. Please give me more input/insight on these two items as they looked fine and in good condition on the ski? If they do indeed need to be replaced please recommend what website/where to buy/get them from?

Thanks for your help and understanding of my many questions and inquiries in advance. I am not too good on these forums or computers for that matter. But as you can see from my pictures me (& my mechanic friend) did a great job at cleaning out the washers, needle bearings, and disassembling the motor & ski pieces.
Also on another note if you guys know or think of anything we missed that needs to be checked or replaced on my ski please let me know thanks again.
This is 2004 RXP with 285.1 hours on it that had a washer failure on it so you know what was the cause......
Last SETS of pictures will be the ceramic washer pieces and whatever else I can fit on here.....

Lots of metal and ceramics through that motor, must have run for awhile after the washers broke. Looks like there is quite a bit of wear in your main bearings. Check your main bearings and your crank journals for scoring. You may need to have your crank polished if you can feel/see any marks whatsoever. You should replace both oil pumps.

You should also check your cylinder walls for scoring.

So many people just fix the sc and put it back together and then the motor lets loose a few hours later and they wonder why. Good job on fixing it the proper way, most people don't. I seem to get them when it's too late after it spins a bearing or throws a rod through the side of the block and people want to know why it happened and why it's going to cost $4k to fix when they just paid somebody $600 to fix the sc and it was running great when they got it back.

Wow thanks for your input you seem to know a lot.
Here are some new questions I thought of if you could please answer/help me with them....
What kind of Loctite/bolt locking gel is sea doo using on all the bolts? I noticed when disassembling all the bolts there was like a white (I think) gel/glue that was very strong. Where can I get this and what is it called? I saw 2 types so far one was a yellow & the other was white. I know they are not Loctite due to the strength on them... Please advise me on what it is and where to get this?

Also have you ordered from sbt before for gaskets?
Where do you get your parts from?
I am wondering the difference in parts & gaskets ordering from SBT vs. the OEM PARTS PLEASE ADVISE disadvantages and advantages?

[moderated]

The yellow substance is call scotch grip and is OEM on the bolts already dry when you purchase some bolts. It works the same as blue Loctite but is easier for the manufacturer to control for replacement parts. You will use blue Loctite almost everywhere instead of this. You will also need the updated flywheel bolt kit and 3bond 1211 gasket sealer for the block.

You can download a free manual and you should read it thoroughly front to back. A few things in the manual I disagree with like the block sealant, 3bond 1211 is superior to what they recommend.

Email sent to you.....
Where can I get a free shop manual from?
Please provide me a website/link for this.

What kind of Loctite blue do I use there are many types/kinds please advise?
Also do you know where to get the 3 bond 1211 from?

Blue 242 medium strength. I didn't realize there were more types of blue Loctite. 1211 can be found on ebay or amazon.

242 is the wrong blue loctite for these engines. You should always be using 243. They are both the same strength, but 243 works with oily bolts and is more oil resistant. You can easily buy 243 on Amazon as well.

Okay thank you for this info I think I might have gotten the 2 mixed up so thanks for clarifying......
