So I was riding today and everything was normal until I heard a long single beep. I shut the machine off and put the DESS back on the post and it beeped twice and about 3 sec after, the one long beep came again. It will start and run as normal. Any ideas of what the one beep could be?

You said it runs fine. When it's running in the water do you get water coming out of the telltale on the front left side?

You will always get the first two beeps, that's good. Is the next one a single solid beep that goes until you pull the lanyard?

I’ll run it and check for water coming out the front left. The solid single beep only lasts 2.5-3 seconds then will stop

I put the key on the post when I had it out of the water and it beeped 2x normally. No lone single beep.

Alright well you already had your answer then. The single beep indicates overheating or a problem with the temp sensor. Next time you ride or it put it on the hose see if you have good cooling water flow.

It was a pretty weedy lake I was riding in, possibility that a weed was sucked into my cooling line causing the supposed overheating alarm?

Good idea to flush this time of year as the weeds are getting mature.
When you flush on the hose for 30 seconds it reverses the water flow flushing out anything that might have gotten stuck in the water ports.

You can use a garden hose quick disconnect or just a short garden hose. I use a short garden hose with a shut off valve. So I can control water flow.

Remember engine on first then water on next. Flush for 30 seconds to a minute, no more that 2 minutes.
Water off first then engine off.

and where do I put the hose? is it the longer tube coming out the back on the right?

Yes. Seadoo says 3-5 minutes, assuming you're seeing water flow in the drain lines and out the cooling indicator on the side of the hull. If you don't see that shut it off and figure out the problem.

I’m getting water flow out the indicator on the side of the hull when hooked up to a hose, but no water coming out when the ski is in the water. Any thoughts?
