rx di will not rev up

I have a 2000 rx di that I bought and it has turned into a nightmare. It would not run after I put all the hoses back on I finally got it to start. It did not run well so I put a gauge in line with the fuel line and found that it would not hold 107 psi. So I put a new HFP-342DI in and cleaned the rave valves. I started it up on the hose and it started hard but did after a few tries fuel pressure was around the 107 range. but it still had a hard time to rev up. I let it idle for about 10min and would see if it would rev up after awhile. It still had a hard time and will still bog out if you held it to it but if u let off it would go back to idle. So I put in the lake to try and it was worse it would still idle and you could just briefly give any throttle pressure was still 105-107. I tried this for about 10 min still made no difference. So I am looking for some help to go next? Compression is good (135-140), voltage is 13.5,fuel pressure 105-107psi, and no codes. Maybe TPS? Help please

OK... here's a list to check...

1) Did you check the air pressure? The Di engine gets a injection boost from the air pump.

2) Did you check the reeds? If you have one (or more) cracked/broken... it won't run right.

3) Did you have the injectors checked/cleaned?

4) This one may sound silly... but does it have new (not just clean) spark plugs in it? (NGK's) If the plugs are old, or have been overheated... or dropped... you may not be getting a good spark.

When working with a Di engine... you really need a CanDoPro, or similar tool. That way you can watch the sensors. (to verify function)

I has 107 psi of fuel pressure wouldn't that mean the air pump is working ok? It has brand new plugs ngk. I haven't checked the reads yet but I will. I do not have a programmer. I will look into how to clean the injectors
Thanks

The candoo also lets you shut down cylinders to verify they are balanced. If there's no codes, then its "probably" not sensor or voltage related. When there is no fuel pressure on your gauge, & you first put on the key & you get 27psi. then I would agree that 107 running should mean your air pump is doing its job. But, the one thing you need to check is to makes sure that under load (when its using the most fuel) the pressure holds at 107 & it should actually climb a bit higher. If it drops lower, you might have a fuel restriction or pump problem. If its acting up while holding 107+, you "probably" can rule out the fuel & air pump. At least for those symptoms I would say.

Normally if a DI is having trouble but not setting any codes, docs got the typical culprits listed above. The DI's don't monitor the air or fuel pressures. The only way you could set a code is by holding the throttle wide open when its bogging, & it would then set a code because the sensor data isn't adding up with what the engine is doing. IE: low RPM's but wide open TPS. Usually the ski will go into extreme limp mode when this happens. Maint comes on & the ski will only idle as if the throttle cable came off.

I tried holding the throttle wide open and the and buzzer went on and the maint came on. If I keep holding it wide open it eventually just Boggs out

It would not run after I put all the hoses back on I finally got it to start.
Which hoses?
Why did the PO (previous owner) pull the hoses off?
Did you follow the manual or some way to know you got the hoses back in the right places?

I started it up on the hose and it started hard but did after a few tries

Just to verify that you waited until it did start before you actually turned on the hose?!?
If not, then pull the spark plugs out, and crank at wide open throttle to see if any water comes out the plug holes.

Yep had started then turned hose on I bought it not running and the po had the hoses off to put anti freeze in it did not have any idea what he was doing. I do all my on repairs but this one got me. I do have a seedoo service manual. It will rev up if u baby it when it's on the trailer. I will check air comp to make sure it has the 80 psi. But it did have 85-95 psi before I changed the fuel pump out and now it has 105-108 psi. I will take the fuel rail apart and clean it. Maybe it is plugged up. It just seems like it is not getting enough fuel to allow it to rev up when the throttle bodies open up? Thanks for the help with this thing

When its bogging, you still have 107+ My guess is your air is probably fine then. These skis will show "maint" & go into limp mode if it sees the throttle too far open & the engine is not responding. sometimes this ends up being the "idle only" limp mode. Your bogging does still sound fuel related tho. So did it run fine when your friend had it?

Never ran when I got it. Fuel still is 107psi when boggin. So I should look at the reeds and fuel rail.
