On my 650 rotax motor I'm hearing my rotary valve seals are leaking by the heavy oil from exhuast is it possible it's just the seal on the rotary valve itself leaking or is it most likely the two seals on the crank? Or do I just have to check them all? Any help would be appreciated! If I pull the crank to change those seals the crank would have to be remachined and all I can't just change them is that correct?

Black comming out is probly needle & seat in carb leaking too much fuel into
the engine, and it will mix with exhaust soot.

White-Blue is burned oil product. If RV cavity seals on crank are leaking, the
fix is a new crankshaft. Its a pressed together component under 40K lbs. pressure.
You will need to do a Leak-down test as described in your service manual to
determine the cause of the condition.

It's possible that the problem is the rotary valve shaft seal and not the crank seals. Remove the rotary valve cover and the valve. Clean the area around the shaft and then watch it for a few days for a oil leak. If you find oil leaking remove the shaft and replace the seal. Make sure that the shaft is not bent and that the gear is in good condition before you reinstall it.
Good Luck, DAWG
