I know I know, why would you buy a sc seadoo and not want to run it right. Anyways reason being, I got a set for dirt cheap, like cheap. Anyways with all the super charger problems I was wondering, can I just take out the super charger and plug the area it attaches too?? I bought a GTX limited and a GTX SC, anyways 60mph is plenty fast for me and if taking off the SC makes it still as fast as a normal gtx then I wouldnt mind running it for a while without the sc just to know Im not gonna toast the engine until I decide to rebuild the sc. Anyways just a thought...

Just pull the sc and do a rebuild the only problems are if it has the ceramic washers still if you ran no sc it would run really rich and blow up the engine the computer is tuned for boost so that would be more harmful then the sc anyway

The 2003 GTX SC came with metal washers but that does not necessarily mean that a rebuild is not required. You can pull the charger and check the tolerances on the washers, gear, etc. to figure out what your plan of action should be. Knowing the number of hours and the type of riding that were done will provide insight into what shape you can expect the charger to be in. You could also check the supercharger slip as a very simplistic way to gauge the health of your charger.
