Rubber outer start button gti 98

Anyone know what the part number is and what the name of the rubber button you touch for starting a 98 gti? Thx! David

Is your button bad or just missing the rubber cover? My boat has had the rubber cover missing since I bought it last year and I never had a problem. I think the new switch with the cover is like $30. I have heard people say a univrsal button cover would work, I just havent tried it.

It's just the cover that's worn to nothing. Riva sports sent me a circlip which is not what I need. So the cover doesn't protect against moisture getting in?

Im not sure exactly what yours looks like. It is the little flat red circle or a bigger push in type button with what looks like a rubber boot? Mine is the boot lookin one. I am sure it is designed to keep out water but I havent had any problems. I will replace it someday.
