I have a 1997 Seadoo GSI i had acquired recently after it had sat for 2 years and after replacing fuel lines, cleaning the carb and replacing the old gas with new i took it out for a test run and it seems to want to die on idle and almost seems like its fireing at the wrong time (Everything is firing correctly thats just what it seems like). When i apply just a little bit of throttle the idle picks right back up to normal then after about 10-20 seconds it dies back down into its rough idle. On the flip side when i try to take off or get over about half throttle it starts to die down but not completely shut off. I suspect it might be the fuel filter. The inlet filter doesnt completely fill with gas and almost never looks like it has gas in it, but with this being my first jet ski and the first 2 stroke ive worked on and I lack the expertise to know anything beyond that.
The ski is also oil injected and when i took off the carb to clean it it seems like the cable to run the oil pump may have loosened a little bit (attached to the throttle) and have no idea if that may be playing a role aswell. I was just curous on the opinion of people who have more experience than me on this type of thing.

Did you rebuild the carbs with new Genuine Mikuni parts including needle and seats?

I would also suspect that the 3 small pilot holes in the body of the carb are plugged too.

You would be wise to also replace the o-ring on the fuel strainer and the ON/OFF valve.

Your ski is starving for fuel so don't keep riding it.

The oil lever adjustment is in the manual that can be downloaded from Google.
