Hello,

While pulling the Magneto from my rotax 657x motor, a bolt from the pully-puller was threaded in too far and did some damage to one of the three coils of the stator. It broke one of the wires from one of the coils off. See Pic.

Just wondering what my options are here. Is it fixable by soldering. Can I buy a single coil. Or do I have to buy and entire stator?

Thanks in advance
T

That's one of the charging coils. PM SeaDooya... I'm sure he will get you a good price.

With that said... and if you are very good with a soldering gun. You can un-wind that coil, and re-wrap it with the same gauge magnet wire. I rebuild stators all the time, or re wrap them for more output.
