i am in the final stages of a bottom end rebuild on a 92 sp, was going to finish the r/v timing and noticed that the valve has some pitting on the pump side surface, is this an issue that needs to be addressed/replaced?
It should not affect performance. Take this opportunity to measure the RV clearance as spect'ed in the manual. Good clearance means easier starting and
longer starter life. Out of Spec means Hard-to-Start when restarting and more
wear on the Starter. Bill
