2008 GTI 130, will shift to reverse, but not forward or neutral. I can pull the deflecter up to forward manually and it moves easily and then the shifter can shift back to reverse, but again, it won't shift to forward. Any contributions appeciated

Check the plastic nut that screws into the pump support plate where the cable exits the hull I'll bet it's broken.

Tytan,Thanks for the reply. No, it's fine. I checked every nut and visually watched the cable ends while working the handle or manually working the gate. I believe the cable is severed inside the sheath and works in compression (reverse is compression) but doesn't in tension (forward would be tension) Manually pulling the gate up to forward would then be in compression also as it's working it from the rear. I plan to take the cable out to confirm it.

This. 99% if the time this is your problem. The other 1% is a broken reverse cable.

Is there a specific part number for this nut? I have a 2006 wake that has a broken nut. After switching to reverse it won't move back to forward. I checked the back and the nut is clearly broken, when shifting to reverse part of it slips out and the cable won't move back to forward.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Swizzel, check EBAY for "SEADOO RXP RXT GTX STEERING, REVERSE BILLET ALUM NUT" I think this link should take you there.
It's 15.00 and seems high for just a nut, but should last much longer than the plastic one.
