Dr Honda Well-Known Member May 28, 2010 #2 the only real way to do it is to take it to a dealer. The rev limiter is part of the MPEM, and they have a tool that can send it a pulse to check it's function. Do you think your's is bad?

D Deron Crook New Member May 28, 2010 #3 I'm not sure. I have a backfiring problem that I cann't figure out. These are the things I have done to resolve problem: Changed plugs Cleaned carburetor Replace fuel lines Checked vents for clogs Any other sugestions?
