Hi all,

I'm restoring a 2000 LRV. Just got the engine back in, and the seats recovered, and it's looking pretty good. I'm in need of both gauges for it though. (They both were waterlogged when I got it.) It looks like the Speedo is the same for the LRV, GTX, and a few other models for that year, but the info gauge has a different part # and the online parts guide says 2000 - 2001 LRV only.

Questions:

Does anyone know if the same year GTX gauge will work? (They look the same, I'm thinking maybe the wiring harness is longer for the LRV?)

Any ideas of where to pick up a reasonably priced info gauge?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I heard you need 951 parts:

I have an info center, and speedo. (Actually 2) I'll find the part #s if you need. I think they are all the same.

my last info center went for $120 on ebay.

I'll toss both in a box for $140 shipped.

I'd do that, but still kinda' hung up on why is the LRV a different part# on the Info Gauge? I'm guessing the harness length is different, but hate the thought of shelling out $$ for parts that I can't use. Speedo is the same part #.

If I can get some kind of confirmation that I can make it work, I'll take 'em.

I'm not sure. I don't want to sell you something that wouldn't work either.

$45 for speedo shipped works for me. If you want to start with that.

Just got my gauges from SabrToothSqrl - Plugged them in to verify they would come on, and they worked perfectly. My guess was correct in that the LRV cable harness is about 3' longer then the GTX harness. Cut / spliced my harness to the new gauges and am installing them tonight. Gotta wait until the JB Weld cures on my top deflector cover, then I'll be good to go.

Thanks to SabrToothSqrl for listing the gauges on EBay - worked out great!!

That's a wonderful ending.... everybody wins! Thanks for following up and posting the result.

Finally got to take her out on vacation. Spent a day on Cheat Lake, and another on Summersville Lake (Both in W.V.) She ran perfectly and we had a blast.

I do have a couple of gauge issues / questions. The Speedo is intermittent - Both the analog and digital go up / down in unison, so I know it's not the gauges themselves. Any ideas of where to look for the problem?

I also have no fuel gauge at all. I'm assuming it's the sending unit - Is that a normal problem on these? Will I need to replace the sending unit?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

There's a permanent fix with the fuel sounding unit, but it takes persuasion. Google it and it'll show up. Also, check the paddle wheel for debris. That'll make the Speedo all wonky

First the Speedos aren't not very accurate and even worse in rough water.
For the fuel gauge it is typically a bad float and the updated ones are $20 to replace. Also search for F-1 fuse fix if the float isn't the problem. Either way the sending unit will have to come out.
